The recorder is super fast but of course it still depends on your hardware and what you're doing, but generally you'll have to push it pretty hard to make it run out of memory or get it to stop otherwise. Note that recording does not interrupt your mixing or the video output so go ahead and go crazy on the effects and layers while you are recording. That was pretty simple huh? The movie you just recorded is saved to disk. You can manually control the recording or let time or the BPM take control. The Start and Duration settings allow you to have full control over the recording process. The audio files are in uncompressed WAV format. With the default preset the recorded video files are Quicktime, with the DXV3 codec at normal quality. But if that doesn't tickle your pickle you can use the cogwheel next to the preset to jump to the recording preferences to create your own preset. We have made a bunch of presets to suit all your codec and quality needs. I can see the video playing in the preview and in the advanced output on my mapping, but the output remains black, no matter if its an external screen, a windowed Screen or even DMX via artnet. Preset is used to select a recording preset. Resolume Arena 5.1.4 worked perfectly for a while, but since today I have a black output. You can choose to do nothing, or place the recorded movie onto an empty clip. The "After Recording" determines what should happen after the recording process has ended. You could be recording the entire composition, a specific layer, a specific group or the Crossfader. ![]() The Source controls which part of the composition you want to record. The big "record" button starts and stops the recording depending on your Start and Duration settings. If the Record Panel is not visible in your interface, you can navigate to View -> Show Recordings. Setupīefore you start recording, you need to go to the recording tab of the Preferences window and select the folder that you would like recorded files to be stored in.īy default the files are stored in Documents/Resolume Arena/RecordedĪll things related to recording in Arena and Avenue happen in the Record Panel. All this is done without interrupting the video output. The record function records (parts) of the composition output or advanced output to disk and can immediately imports this movie back into Arena or Avenue if needed. ![]()
